Bankura University

#1 University of Bankura district, located in the Bankura Raniganj Road, at its peak to achieve its name among the top 10 institutions of Bengal. They provide with various different project works to the students that are yet not much practiced in the other top notch universities. Though located partly in a remote & rural land, far from the town railway station or bus terminal but the public transportations make it easy to access.

Very new University in West Bengal. Nice atmosphere, Pollution free area with decent ambiance for study. I have been there while it's newly opened. But there is lack of proper maintenance and infrastructure. Otherwise good.

Bankura University is the only institution for post graduation degree in Bankura and surrounding area.
This university is located in Purandarpur, a suburb of Bankura city.
The university is situated on a vast land along the National Highway.
There are basically three buildings. One of them is the administrative building where all kinds of administrative work is taken care of.
Another is the academic building where Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Political Science, Law, Education, Social Work, Santali are taught.
And last is the Science Building where Maths, Chemistry and Physics are taught.
So far the university does not offer postgraduate degrees in Geography, Botany and Zoology.
Bankura University does not offer masters course in Microbiology although in UG level it is offered in Bankura Sammilani College.
This university is steadily improving and is expected to improve further in the future.
Prof. Deb Narayan Bandyopadhyay is the current Vice-chancellor of the university.
Prof. Subir Kumar Roy and Prof. Jayanta Saha are Registrar and Dean of this university respectively.
There is a canteen in the university premises where meals are available at affordable prices.
As the university has its own two buses, the students do not have to face any difficulty in transportation.
After all, It is one of the most recognised universities in West Bengal and I take pride to be a student of this university.

Bankura University was established by the West Bengal Act XIX of 2013 and the assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of 6 January 2014.

Beautiful Location with Wide Area, Entering Gate is nice , fully storage of vitamin D . In winter, an amazing flower garden is also attractive in the middle of the university.

Note. Go with bike or cycle , in this line are few bus's available, if u miss any bus then you have to wait 1/30 houres.
