Sadhu Ram Chand Murmu University, also known as Jhargram University, is a public state university in Jhargram, Jhargram district, West Bengal. The university was established in 2018 as Jhargram University under The Jhargram University Act, 2017.[1] In 2021, it was renamed as Sadhu Ram Chand Murmu University.[2] It became active with the appointment of the first vice-chancellor, Amiya Kumar Panda, in 2021.[3]

Under development area , surrounded by jungle,some factory (i.e. Reshmi cement etc.) are there . Few shop (2 groserry shop,2 chicken shop) are situated near 1 km . You can get vegetables at the morning from this market, this is the present situation of JHARGRAM UNIVERSITY.

Sadhu Ram Chand Murmu University commonly known as Jhargram University was established on 2018. This is a West Bengal government controlled public University which is just 10km from Jhargram town. The campus here is huge. Currently 4 course are available here but the remaining will be available very soon. This location has a very good transport connectivity. The nearest railway station is 12 km from here and the national highway NH06 is just 3.5 KM away. Also there is bus stop just in front of the university.

Sadhu Ram Chand Murmu University of Jhargram is actually known to everyone as Jhargram University . It's a WB Govt. Initiatives . Brand new and the only and first university in Jhargram district .
