University must grow a lot to became student oriented. No place to hangout. Poor academic quality and zero beautification. Only brand "Central University" exist also good hostel facility in fact best among central universities. Separate apartments for married and non married scholars exist !!

Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) is an institution of higher education established by an Act of Parliament in 2009. Totally 26 departments are running and also Community college courses are offered our University.

It's an amazing place in the lap of nature surrounded with plenty of greeneries.

Other than different schools and departments and administrative blocks, there are many places to enjoy and shed some sweat like Amenities hall, Gym, Playground, Canteen, Coffee shop, Multipurpose Hall, the nearby river (just in front of the main gate on the other side of the road), the bridge etc. Besides these, there are 4 hostels (2 for boys, 2 for girls), 2 separate hostels for research scholars, 2 mess (boy and girl), one big library, study hall etc.

During the daytime, students spend their time mostly in the departments or in the hostel or go to the nearby market or city. But the nightlife is really really amazing. Students walk on the roads around the campus, sit and talk at the MP Hall veranda, on the benches on the sides of the road, at the flag post point. Some students play music on mini speakers while walking or sitting in a group. Many students spend time in the Amenities hall playing different games like basketball, badminton, throwball etc.

There is a coffee shop, a mini supermarket, a salon, a Xerox shop and some other shops nearby the campus. The nearest market is Kangalancherry; 3 kms from the main gate.

Living among lots of scholars, talents and amazing people, this place gives you a whole different experience of life.

Best university around the delta region of Tamil Nadu. It has 13 schools, 27 departments, 158 faculties and 2000+ students. Most of the facilities are did their PhD or post doctoral studies in abroad countries. Infrastructure are good but some building still having water leakage problems. This university started in 2009 in neelakudy near thiruvarur. One of developing university in India. Sport facilities are developing. Library facility is good. Here they are offering Integrated master of science in physics, chemistry, life sciences and mathematics, MSc in tamil, English, economic, commerce and etc. And PhD in all the departments.

Very very nice place to study. Especially life sciences school is really osome. Every department under it is very good and life sciences is not less than an iit iisers.
