Department of Botany

This is one of the oldest departments in the university. It was established as an independent department in 1923. The department also maintains a Botanical Garden at the University Fort covering an area of about 95 acres. The Ministry of Environment (Government of India) recommended it as a Lead Botanical Garden of North India.

The vision of the department is to be a centre of excellence in thrust areas of the research and to equip our students to meet the nations demand.

I am a student there and consider it to be the best department in the field of botany.
Number of facilities are provided in the course in very reasonable amount of fee, you just have to qualify an entrance to enroll in the department and then success is under your feet.
