Jodhpur Heritage Walk

Glad we took up this activity and saw a different and unique side of the city. Our guide was fantastic with deep knowledge of the history,architecture and culture of entire Marwar region. It's definitely worth having in your top list of activities to do in Jodhpur

The old city heritage walk tour taken by me was a fabulous one. Had visited Jodhpur during Holi celebrations and saw the city in its full glory and pomp. The city's beauty and landscape is mesmerizing and the old city is like a cherry on the cake. The walk started with one of the best guides who took us through a fun walk along with his enriching talks about the history of the place and how the city progressed. He took us through all details that one may skip while travelling alone.
Apart from the walk JHW organized for our full day sightseeing trip as well. The car picked us up from the station and dropped us at the end of the trip. The car provided was spotlessly clean and services were top class with a well dressed and polite service assistant. The sightseeing included Umaid Bhawan, Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Mandore Garden. We had a great time visiting all the places.
The very next day a trip to Jaisalmer was also fantastic. Stayed back and thoroughly enjoyed The Jaisalmer/Golden Fort, Nathmal and Patwa haveli, Gadisar Lake, Bada Bagh and Jaisalmer War Museum. JHW arranged for a true enjoyable and memorable trip.

We had a great time on this walking tour! It was a great way to learn more about the beauty of Jodhpur. Our guide was attentive and did a great job. He even showed us our favourite Gulab Jamun spot so far on our trip!

Do not miss going on the heritage walk, guide Mr, Rakesh was very knowledgeable. We did an early morning walk from the clock tower and the 3 hour walk was fabulous. I strongly recommend this if you ever visit Jodhpur

It was the worst tour and guide I ever had anywhere in the world, when I made the booking I also read the reviews and thought that it will be the one I can take it. On confirmation I received a message saying that the meeting point will be at one gate far away from central Jodhpur, I was eating there for about 20 minutes when I get a message from this guy saying that he is waiting at the clock tower which is central town.
He arrived at the gate much later than 5pm.
Then someone from the office call me I demanded to cancel the tour and to refund the money to which he responded that he can’t do that, they will take the money no matter what.
I walk with that guy to give the opportunity but immediately realised
that he was not a professional guide, the your supposed to last two hours but I didn’t support any more about him and cut short for more than an hour.
I won’t recommend to book the walking tour to the blue town of Jodhpur with this company if it’s in fact a company which I’m doubtful.
Very irresponsible, unprofessional, not serious in their business, they won’t cancel the tour despite what to said on their website.
Take my word for it.

I had Rakesh Je Kachawaha as my guide for the half day heritage walking tour and a full day tour of Mehrangarh Fort.

Both the tours were excellent, rich in information about the Indian architecture, art and food in the city. Highly recommend the tours for solo travelers and groups looking to make the most out of Jodhpur.

Great tour to discover the city with local guide, Rakesh took us to every corner of the city and told us really interesting information about jodhpur and India. Totally worth it if you are in jodhpur for a few days.

Every structure and street has its own story to tell and you need a right person to tell. Guide was that story teller for me. Very insightful and interesting facts we discussed on our heritage walk. And the most important , he will suggest you the best place to eat and shopping. After roaming 10 days I got the real taste of Rajasthani food, thanks to his suggestion.
