If we cancel a trip at the last movement they cut 90% amount. They cancel they did not refund 100% amount. Every
time they force to plan a trip. A trip with veena world is a very bad experience. Please find out other options.
also, their management is horrible. they did not book the proper hotel.
My husband and I booked a customized package with Veena World for our Coorg vacation. To say that we were disappointed would be an understatement.
Pros:
- good travel arrangement
- good itinerary
- reliable communication with the travel manager *up until the holidays started*
Cons:
The accommodation that they picked for us was a terribly poor choice.
Reason 1: Distance
They booked us a cotttage in the Misty Woods Resort, which is 2 hours away from the city. That's 4 hours gone from every day of our itinerary.
Sadly, that was the least of our problems with this accommodation.
Reason 2: Bug infestation
Despite the very polite and helpful staff and excellent food at the resort, it was very hard for us to relax and enjoy our time once the sun set. Because this resort is in the middle of the forest, the rooms are infested with bugs (huge spiders, leeches, huge slugs, grasshoppers and other smaller bugs). This is not the resort's issue per se because they warn you about this while checking in AND it's written all over in their reviews as well. Because of this, we were terrified and tense the whole time we were inside the cottage which is not what we were looking for in a long anticipated holiday.
Reason 3: Lack of basic amenities
There is no WiFi in this resort and no warm water despite us notifying the reception about it.
Reason 4: Treatment of driver
This resort provides no accommodation and only abysmal bathrooms for the drivers. The driver who was with us had to sleep in the car for the three nights. Again, a quick read of their google reviews reveals this information so I'm assuming that they're transparent about this fact. So it couldn't have been hard to find out.
Reason 5: Communication during critical times
At the time of check-in, there was an issue of outstanding payment to the resort. They couldn't check us in without resolving it. We had paid the full amount to Veena World so I called our travel manager to clear this up. Twice. They did not answer and I haven't received any communication since. The issue was resolved eventually and we checked in with about half an hour of delay but the lack of critical communication was problematic.
Now, either Veena World knew about the critical points about this resort and booked it for us anyway, in which case it was unethical on their part.
Or they didn't do their due diligence before booking it, in which case it was unprofessional on their part.
Either way, it's a never again from us.
Choosing veena world for next domestic trip was no-brainer for me but this time experience was totally opposite, they don't provide up to the Mark hotels, the 5 day trip had most of time consumed in travel, if you share any concernns, none takes responsibility for it..food quality in only hotel was good.
Overall it was not a veena world brand experience.
