1) During our honeymoon to Australia, a package of around 7 Lacs was made, certain activities were clasing on the same time and when we told them about it, they cancelled the activity instead of re-scheduling it and no refund was given. Ms. Raymon stopped picking our calls after that point onwards.
2) Again, trip to Australia, couple of taxi rides scheduled via vouchers in the package did not arrive, when we called the local cab company they said they do not have any booking with the voucher number. We had to book cabs from the hotel that costed us around Rs. 3500/- each. Again, no refund or any other assistance was given from MMT.
3) Booked Welcome Jodhpur. Paid full charges via Credit Card. After which we were told that Rs. 8000 per person with additional GST (Rs. 16000 + GST) will have to be paid in addition. Which is basically the cost of the room. For a gala dinner which is mandatory, even if we do not attend or have other plans.
Chats and calls to MMT went unresolved. They kept saying the same thing, no matter who I spoke to. Booking could not be cancelly. The dinner gala was not made optional for me but mandatory. If something HAS to be paid, it should have been the part of the room rent itself.
We think the experience will be better next time. But Make My Trip manages to screw up your holiday in some small way.
As they had messaged us saying how airlines have stopped providing refunds to the passengers for the flights booked till 15th april due to covid, I went onto the makemytrip app to see they are still providing SOME refund of the amount soI thought of opting the same option and cancelled my flight on 31st Mar 2020. It's been 20 days and there has been no response from their end. Their customercare service is unserviceable and the helpline on app doesnt give the exact information. Looks like they are not planning to refund the money.
