Best place to come in train and go for shopping in parry's corner. Near to St George fort.. and beach also Local Trains towards Beach, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Velachery halts here.... Very less shops, less crowded and average clean station... Madras medical college is near to the station... Central station is not far ..... Autos are available on either side of the station....

It is the station which is called "Fort" and it seems to be the nearest if you want to go the Fort Museum. As the whole complex nearby is a military complex, you either take a rickshaw or you walk for around 20 minutes. It would be good to have some touristic information.
Station is well maintained and serves for local transport. Depending on the entrance it might be tough to find a ticket counter.

Broadway and hogh court bus stand is main bus stand that interconnected with all the places in chennai. So fort station help the regular passengers to connect with every places of Chennai city. Station is maintained clean and full time security given by RPF( Railway Police Force). One of the main railway station in Chennai.
