It is an hub between Villupuram and south districts of Tamilnadu. And also it is supported with Major trains of the country. Nice and neat clean maintained station . This is the one of the station without any dogs are roaming inside the station. But still many places are left open so pigs are coming . So that should take some action on this. But the place is good

Station maintained very well. Toilet is also OK, didn't stink. Quiet a contrast when the entire town stinks with clogged/open sewage.

It's major place connected between Viruthachalam,Trichy,Chennai,pondicherry. Mostly Rush area.Outside the station there was Auto available any time.Railway station was aren't too big.It's has only one Platform Main line. Another one is for local train r Crossing uses.Neat and clean station inside the station there was three Railway Canteen.Price are lit bit high to compare outer price.But It's fine. *Surrounding 2/3Km All main area would covered like Hotel,Bus Stop,Wine Shop,Theatre,Temple, etc*.

Well maintained station Food stall also available. You can get good food here at affordable price You can hire an auto if u wanna visit temple Else walk to bus stand which 1km away and catch local bus to reach temple Hope Retiring rooms also available

It is a Devine place. A famous siva temple (Bagavan name Anandha Nataraja Raja Moorthy Ambal name Sivagamasunthary)is located here. It Is one of the panja bootha sthalam, indicates the space (Akash shethram). There are so many Devine temples are here around chidambaram. Maha avatar BABAJI's birth place named parangipettai is very nere to chidambaram, Bhagavan Ragaventhra's birth place Bhuvanagiri and Vallalar's birth place and jeeva mukthi place is also very near to Chidambaram. World famous mangrove backwater forest is located at pichavaram is also very near to chidambaram. One of the famous university, named Annamalai university is located here.

Average maintenance of platform. Waiting rooms are available @Platform1. Rest rooms are clean and hygiene.

One of the oldest station in tamilnadu. Nearest places are Natarajan koil and Annamalai University. Pichavaram is very near to this station.
