Tiruturaipundi Junction

Nostalgic place . Last Meter gauge trains ran here. MG workshop and repair center for SR. The gauge conversion to BG is in progress.
Earlier a Junction since trains to Agathiyampalli diverted from here.Trains to Tiruvarur and Pattukottai were the last run by MG. Once a major railway station between Tiruvarur and Karaikudi which ran via Muttupettai Adirampattinam Pattukottai Peruvarani Aranthangi etc.The station had a refreshment stall. Bus stop just outside the station.

Presently only one train available between Tiruvarur and karaikudi.
This train exactly reaches at office hours to this thiruturaipundi junction from tiruvarur junction and vice versa. Office goers (taluk office, sub register office, all government office, private office peoples) can utilize this train as it is the cheap, best and most comfortable mode of transport.
Taluk office and sub register office are only at walkable distance from this railway junction.
