The train station is well maintained, however its been ages since any major work's done here or the station was renovated. Byculla is well contacted with other suburbs and is a bit conjusted when it comes to travelling by road into the interiors, Mumbai central is nearby, Mahalaxmi is nearby, and many other place.

Byculla was one of the original stations when the Bombay–Thane railway was inaugurated in April 1853. It had been built as a wooden structure the year before, but took on its current form in 1857. The first locomotive was brought to Mumbai through street of Byculla and around 200 labourers pulled it.
The railway has setup the wifi in platform no. 1 and platform no. 2
All the fast stations halt at Byculla station and the station is comparatively clean compared to others. However train is still crowded if you go towards north or south direction.

Newt and clean railway station, both fast and slow trains halt here for going towards chattrapati Shivaji maharaj terminus as well as towards karjat/khopoli. Also sometimes Mails take a halt over here. Towards the east you will find Ranibaug. Fast trains halt at platform no 3&4 where as slow trains halt on platform no 1&2

Byculla Railway station is the Heritage station..Fast trains are halting here..Byculla vegetables Market near the station...The Byculla Zoo is walkable distance..Main churches are here..Mazgaon Sales Tax Office, Prince Ali Khan Hospital and Nagpada, Agripada, 7 Rastha are nearby..

One of the railway station in central line. All the local train fast as well as slow trains stop here. Overall nice and clean railway station.
