Saharsa Junction railway station is a main railway station in Saharsa district, Bihar. Its code is SHC. It serves Saharsa city. The station consists of 5 platforms. It's A category railway station of Samastipur railway divisiondue to less railway facility,less expansion and meter gauge tracks in supaul & madhepura district people used to catch trains from Saharsa instead of their own stations . This station is one of the good and advance ones in bihar. It is neat and clean and well maintained but the station management can still do a better job at various aspects.

The Dimension of this Station is good. But, no. of trains are various less as compared to other stations.

the station is amazing . I did not expect a station which is not on the busy katihar khagaria line to be so full of people at night. Besides so many people could be seen sleeping or loitering outside the station premises. Many tea stall and almost all the restaurants were open all night. the atmosphere was very lively. Trains keep on coming and going throughout the night. one passenger Train arrived from jamalpur via munger around 1.30 am. around 3 am monihari to jaynagar exp train arrived. samastipur bound local departed very early in the morning .
