Its a poor maintenance railway station.. Where only passenger trains used to stop here..As the next stop is Ongole as it the district head quarter of Prakasam District and the near by big railway station around surareddipalem..most of the express trains and super fast trains will stop there..And this surareddipalem railway station acts as crossing for stoppage to passenger trains for most of the time..
