There are two counselling sessions per day. You have to register first in order to attend a session. For 12:30-1:30 session registration timing is 11:00-12:30 and for the 4:30-5:30 session the registration timing is 2:00-4:00.
Bring 2 photocopies of the payment receipt/challan (whichever is applicable), and 1 photocopy of ID proof to recover impounded certificates for traffic rules violation challan. To recover the vehicle impounded the details are enclosed in the pictures.
Ensure that you reach a bit early for registration as there's a long que almost always. You must have the mentioned documents if you want a swift process or you'll have to go outside the compound to get a photocopy or printout.
The infrastructure is there for printouts and other things but if you don't return with the documents before the window is closed you'll have to wait for the next registration window. If you come in the morning you'll have the chance to register for the second shift but if you miss the evening window you'll have to come back next day. The staff is unforgiving in that matter.
The cafeteria behind the office is quite reasonable. Thali costs ₹50/- and the tea costs ₹10/-
Hope I have clarified it enough so that you do not suffer as I have today.
With best wishes. Good Luck.

Indeed a corrupt department. This is how our National Highways look with half of lanes covered by parked vehicle. This can't be done without the knowledge of DTP officials.
This is how side lane of NH24 from West Vinod Nagar to Mayur Vihar Phase 2 looks. Half of road (one lane out of two) is occupied by parked Cars. Some are moving in opposite direction.
What if any emergency vehicle like fire tenders wouldn't be able to move fast because of these parked vehicle? Shouldn't be Delhi Traffic Police be held responsible?

Covid-19 Response: No registration and classes are going on. This means the DL or RC which has been submitted to the Traffic Police department would be received by you from the station mentioned in the Challan copy or challan fine receipt you got during time of Challan. You go to the circle office where RC or DL is submitted and show Challan Copy or Receipt. I went today to Todapur Headquarters to know this thing.

Hello Everyone,

I would like to share my experience as my DL was seized at Dwarka sec-23 traffic police office.

I jumped red light and my DL was seized on 25 sep,2019. After that I didn’t get a chance to get it till 3 oct, 2020.

As per the earlier process, if a rider is jumping the red light or driving without helmet was supposed to pay the challan, take the traffic training from inderpuri traffic headquarters then they would issue you a slip which you would show at your traffic office where your DL/RC is and then you could get back your documents.

But now due to covid, no training is conducting at traffic police headquarters, inderpuri. Which means you can simply pay the challan now and print the receipt and show it to your respective traffic police’s office where your documents are seized.

**This is for people who got challan after 1 july,2019- till present as per the information provided to me by the officer working at inderpuri traffic headquarters.

Most probably everyone is aware about this rule at the local traffic office but still if someone ask you for any slip or proof, please show them the notice which i am attaching below.

The only reason I am posting this review is so that you don’t have to waste your time visiting traffic headquarters, inderpuri and to provide you all some information. In the end I would like to say it’s a very sorted and hassle free process as of now, so get your documents released at the earliest as it took me over 1 year to deal with this.

Many thanks,
Fed up delhi citizen

Very very bad DTP. Don't expect such kind of irrelevant things from DTP & concerned staff.

DL1LAE2549 — BROWN TOWING CRANE

DL1LY1528 — WHITE TOWING CRANE

The DTP staff constable is AMIT KUMAR.

Total price of challan for irrelevant parking of vehicle decided by the DTP is ₹ 700.

Private crane towing charge is ₹ 200.
DTP fees charge for irrelevant parking is ₹ 500.

They only thinks to loot the common people's hard earned money & enjoy the rest.

The DTP show no mercy to the owner of the vehicle that they tow on their private cranes. The vehicle owners begs to their staff to leave the vehicle but they show no humanity to either men or women or even aged peoples.

They thought that complete Delhi belongs to them only. Everywhere they put their signboards regarding no parking.

There is no signboard regarding TOW AWAY ZONE but they tow vehicle's with their cranes to the concerned circle area office in an incompetent manner with their uneducated & migrational labour.

Really very rude, stressful & bad experience.

Be aware of such kind of stressful & unbearable situations happening daily on all type of roads in Delhi.

NOTE— ALWAYS WEAR HELMETS, SEATBELTS ; KEEP DRIVING LICENSE, VEHICLE R.C. WITH YOU AND ALSO KEEP DRINKING WATER WITH YOU TO HELP KEEP MIND CALM & PEACEFUL IN THE ABOVE MENTIONED SITUATIONS.

Where there is a need of help in traffic jams the DTP staff never available on time to help reducing jams.

Their first priority is to cut the traffic challans on first basis.
