Near about belpahari it's a river dam situated above tarafeni river. Right now very much less water is there. Total 8 lock gates are there in dam. Surroundings are very beautiful local people are bathing in river.

Not special about the place. Water was muddy due to the rainy season. Spent some 5-10 mins at this place only.

Just like a canal as you see if you are staying at village. Dont expect much more.

I have a mixed opinion for this place. As a tourist attractions this place is good for nothing. No amenities, no nearby shop, no basic infrastructure like toilet, drinking water etc. nothing available. This place can be a good picnic spot but a lot of things need serious attention. Off road enthusiasts may like a trip to this place but that's true for any off bit destination. One can certainly visit this place without any expectations.

It is a big reservoir. Surrounding is nice. Road leading to tarafeni dam is a worth experinecing. However, if the dam gate was open, it will look more beautiful.

It's around 15 mins drive from Ghagra waterfalls. The dam has 10 lock gates. We reached around 11am on October. Still it's hot though not so humid. The view from both side of the dam is very nice and it's really having a photogenic view. Don't forget to take a snap of the top hoarding mentioned as Tarafeni so that it will remain in your memory forever.
