Unlike those bigger barrages in its 100 km radius, Rondiha is much less frequented by tourists. Consequently you get to enjoy a much more unspoilt nature. Although bathing is not at all recommended, you can always laze by the concrete edge and feel the cool downstream water over your suspended (carefully though) feet. Do not litter the place. Checkout the friendly boat service about 100 metres to the left of the barrage to get some click-worthy panoramic view. Also, you may try those desi chaat from local vendors :-)

If you are staying or travelling nearby place then this place require a short time visit. This is a barrage on river Damodar. This place has scenic beauty. You may enjoy boat ride when the gate of barrage is open. There is some small food stall, snacks, jhalmuri, omlet ,mineral water is available there.

Randiha (Bengali: রনডিহা) (also spelled Rondia) is a tourist spot in Durgapur subdivision of Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

It is a picnic spot.

In 1932, the Anderson weir was constructed at Randiha. As a result, irrigation facility has been available in the lower Damodar basin before the advent of dams by means of the diversion weir on the Damodar and Eden canal to the extent of 890 square kilometres in the districts of Burdwan and Hooghly. Detailed examination of flow data as available at Randiha, revealed that maximum flow of 650,000 cu ft/s (18,000 m3/s) had occurred twice in August 1913 and August 1935 before the implementation of Damodar Valley Scheme.

It is about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from Panagarh on NH 19 and about 19 kilometres (12 mi) downstream of Durgapur Barrage.

When the dam is full the views are extraordinary. The sound of water, the visuals of flowing streams are magical. The place is not very crowded all time and their are plenty of spots where people can sit and enjoy the sites.
