Birthi Waterfall

A waterfall is a point in a river or stream where water flows over a vertical drop or a series of steep drops. Waterfalls also occur where meltwater drops over the edge of a tabular iceberg or ice shelf.This waterfall is formed from the Milom Glacier. The people of this region drink the water of this spring and use it for their own purposes.Rainbows can be seen in the water of this fountain when the sun shines

An awesome place to visit on the way to Munswari. It's a very beautiful waterfall, but you have to trek 500-600 meters to enjoy its beauty. There are also an entry fee of Rs 20/- each person.

I felt very peaceful here. Sound of waterfall and birds is chirping and only few people around u, is just perfect to enjoy a place like this. Local people confirmed water flow is less as compared to the rainy season. They don't allow you to take a bath here as local people use this water for drinking purposes. Which is a good thing to maintain the naturality of this waterfall. Now they are maintaining it so u have to take a ticket to support.

Birthi Fall is one of the famous falls in Uttarakhand at Birthi Village, Munshyari Road. It can be reached via a two/four wheeler.

Birthi waterfall is on the way to Munsiyari. 20/- ticket per person to go up near the waterfall. It's worth going up to see the waterfall and feel the mist. The flows in all the season.
