Right across the Yamuna from the Taj Mahal is Mehtab Bagh, one of the forty-four important riverfront gardens that once lined the Yamuna (nearly all of these, barring a handful, are long gone now). Mehtab Bagh is being rejuvenated and revived under a programme between the World Monuments Fund and the Archaeological Survey of India, with proper paths, fruit trees, etc (which was how Mughal gardens were planned).
Parking for Mehtab Bagh and the Taj View Point is about 700 metres before the View Point. Battery-operated shuttle services (charging Rs 20 per adult) run between the parking and the View Point. You need to pay Rs 50 per adult (Indian; children below twelve go free) to go through to the View Point, which is beside the Yamuna. Come here at dusk for the best views. This is also a great place to see birds - we saw lots of rosy starlings, purple herons, and painted stork here.

Great place to see the Taj Mahal in the evening. It wasn't busy and cost 50 rupees to get in.

Great spot to get a panoramic view of the Taj Mahal. It's a bit too far from the city centre approx 7-8kms from Taj itself. Parking is 400mts away from ticket counter and costs 100Rs. The view point ticket is 15Rs, skip the first counter you come when you get there, it's for Mehtab Bagh and totally not worth it. Go straight to ADA view point.

The view of Taj mahal is good though river is empty.I don't know why they made two view points as they are charging separately one for the garden and other for view point.

Amazing view in night , it the place wich is untouched by many in agra , infact very less people r aware about this , The view from this place is amazing , a totely diffirant experience of taj mahal !! Must visit place if Agra is in your list .

Everything is perfect with this place. First, you enter the mausoleum complex via a beautiful gate. Then you see this astonishing building standing amid the park and ponds. You come closer and see delicate ornaments carved in marble walls and inlaid with precious stones. It was my first visit to Taj and trust me, I'm in love with the beauty. You will stand there mesmerized just glancing at the love with which it was made. Adding photos for you to see what I captured. Yes, there are huge crowds of tourists. It is not easy to take you own photos.
