Kotapally Check Dam

Lovely Reservoir, beautiful scenery, could have enjoyed more if rain was there. Water level of the reservoir was very low due to less rain.

This is a perfect place for picnic and weekend getaway with family and friends. Kayaking is an added attraction. Double seater for half an hour costs Rs300/- and for single seater Rs.200/-. Picturesque surroundings and pristine waters enhances the experience of joy and fun. Tents are available on rent. Weekends you can get hot, fresh and tasty fried rice, noodles and fried fish.
Police presence in the weekends & installation of CC Cameras ensures the safety and security of the tourists.

We have enjoyed it a lot and it is the first time I went boating and it was a really awesome experience. The cost is also reasonable per head 150rs for 30 min. Beside that we have a nice place which looks like a waterfall.

A peaceful water point located well within the greenish and natural regions of Vikarabad. A perfect weekend get away to kill the routine. Need to cross a forests check post and limited food options in and around the actual dam.

Very big lake. And it's a treat to watch the moving water
Kayaking available. Only 7 and above age group are allowed
Very nice drive experience from Hyderabad
Please ask the localities for location, google maps may mislead
Food stalls available where we get fried rice and noodles
Road till Vikarabad is good but to the dam, it is patchy
Cons:
Lot of people asking for food and money. Government can improve on this.
Parking can be improved near the lake.
Toilets near the lake are at bad shape.
The lake can be further beautified

It was a great place....had loads of fun ... There is a lot of room for improvement in maintaining the property. The stalls were not that neat.

Very good place to visit for boating only. No other attractions or activities to do here but spent good time. Roads are very poor and local food no way.
