Pichavaram Boardwalk

Wonderful experience... A 2 km walk way inside the dense forest gives you an amazing feel of nature.. The peacefulness it offers is matchless... Different types of birds that we can see here are a bonus. I really felt lucky that I could visit this amazing wonder of nature in my life..

Visited on 8th Aug 2019. Great place. Water level was low, so couldn't go deep into the forest. Row Boating costs 290 for 4, 1hr-1km ride. Pleasant staff.
My primary mission was to go for the board walk, but it was under maintenance. That was a bit of a disappointment.
Could see a lot of crabs, prawns and birds.
Serene environment.
Overall a good experience.

It's an awesome walk way inside the dense forest. The path is there to walk for next 2 KMS. But the forest department has allowed only till 200mts to see. It's very beautiful and scenic walkway.

Wonderful place to visit. I went with family. Maintained well.. Take the row boat to see the beauty of the place.. Kids really enjoyed the boating..

Amazing mangrove forest they will be taking u inside small tunnel of mangrove forest.
The row boat ride will be around 1 hours 400 INR for 4ppl.
600 for 6ppl.
It's amazing and the boatman takes us to scenic place that I never imagined.
We will have nice hotel for food inside, ice-cream stalls and we can also buy snacks over there.
Well maintained toilets are available.
Life jackets are provided for everyone including kids.

Good place to visit with Family & Friends, excellent experience. Boating in backwater is really a wonderful & unique experience of driving into mangrove forest. Decent place for Photography lovers & Shooting spotter..

Its a amazing location but note even if your two persons you need to buy tickets for 4 persons. It cost ₹400..and also the boat fellow will keep saying to tip him only then he will take inside the proper mangrove forest ..it like you need to tip another ₹400 for them to take you inside..the forest department seperately charges ₹10 person not included in the ticket. So over all its a scam money goes into the boat riders pockets and all are involved right from the lady giving you the jackets trying to do side business of selling coconuts to boat rowers ..the motor boat fellow also demands tips else they will just go in open waters... The board walk is not there now and no one knows where it is.. the forest area is true beautiful with untruely people running the show..
