The fort covers a large area . It has a historical essence to it and the location is splendid , full of greenery. You can see a bit of zone 3 and a beautiful lake . The road that we have to travel before reaching the fort gate is wonderful , can spot deers, peacock . We could spot a leopard inside the fort and it was amazing, it jumped from one side to another right in front of us . A little climb takes us to the Ganesha temple which is very famous there . Overall a must visit .

The fort dates back to 9th century. If you love to visit historical places, you will definitely love it. The lack view from the top is amazing. The approach road to fort is through forest which adds fun to trip.

Beautiful fort with historical temple of lord Ganesha. Remember when you go to fort, route is common for safari and fort. You cross area in vehicle where often animals like Tigers and leopard seen on road.
Do not break any rules and listen to information shared by park authorities. It's for your own life only.

Very Lovely and historic place to visit.
Best time would be during Winters or Summers.
Place is surrounded by thick forest and scenic lakes.
Rich and cultural history is buried in the ruins of the fort.
For better understanding... Having a guide with you would be a better option, as you will have to take the steps till the top of the fort.
400-600 rupees is apt for a guide.

Caution for elderly people: Taking the steps would be hard

It's a nice place in the middle of the jungle, a true adventure place with friends or family. A famous temple with lot of Langoors. Natural beauty and a bird eye view of the whole Jungle can be seen.

Entry is free of cost only a nominal Rs 20 for parking will be charged. Easy to drive location.

Best months of visit - Oct to Feb.

Resorts & all jungle safari zones will be operational. Rates will be at its peak during this period.

Cheers!!

If you have plan to see ranthombore tiger reserve, then the fort is near to it. Fort is not in very good shape even UNISCO heritage site, barely you can see some good protected structure. also no shade of shelter, very few eating place, and those are small stalls, not good, family may feel bad. But is you love heritage sites then you must see this also.

Fort which is symbol of high pride, Honour and great valour. It maintains its history and heritage. You’ll feel a unique sensation of how rigorously king and his army fought for their thoughts and beliefs and even sacrificed their life for truth and honour.

The fort is huge and beautiful. There are some parts which are under construction as of now. Those are not accessible but overall fort structure is good and clean. It is UNESCO heritage site. It takes almost 2-3 hours to visit all the parts of the fort. There is very famous Ganesh Temple, Digambar Jain Temple and a mosque. The view from the top is very beautiful.
