According to local people, their was a fort named " Bhogaragarh" near Bhogorapali village in past. Although the fort had completely demolished, broken part of the fort has been collected which states that there was a fort here in ancient times.
Development
Mahadeev pali village is located on banks of the Bhaden river in south direction of which has an ancient Shiva temple. This temple had been completely destroyed due to floods of many years. Lower part and big tree located behind of Destroyable and abandoned temple was uprooted in water flow of flood (1960).This ancient temple was reconstructed by local religious tribal in 1993. goddess Durga, Bhairav, Hanuman, Vishwakarma and Shri Radha Madhava have been established separately in the premises of temple. Concrete Road has been constructed to the temple. Temple area is connected with electricity along with stairs have been built to river.
Servitor
Previously, the worship of this Bhubaneswar temple was performed by Mukund Pujhari of Mahadev Pali. Now his descendant Gurudev has appointed as a priest.Shivaratri fair is held in the premises of the temple every year.
Faith and Reverence
The temple's presiding deity Baba Bhubaneshwar Dev has reverence and faith of the local people. Khanehi Kumura, a man from Samasingha village had achieved Siddhi (Accomplishment) by cutting his tongue in front of the deity of this temple to get mental accomplishment and returned back home with cure. It is a matter of sadness that no plan has not been completed yet for the advancement of this historical temple and its transformation into a tourist destination.
