It was my first visit. U can book toto at 800/- rupees and travel to the place within 50 mins or by own vehicle from old digha It's lies near Odisha boder where the roads are sleek and not crowded ,Tipical rural area, people ae too humble and down to earth. When u reach u need to book tickets from the counter. For 3 ticket fee is 600/- rupees and 1200 if u reserve the book . When u reach the mangroves they will give u half an hour to relax .

Enjoy boating at the the beautiful estuary with scenic beauty, bird watching, fresh Breeze and mangroves. The beach is crystal clean, shells and crabs to view. Perfect place for photo shoot. It's a new venture and must be visited once.

The amazing green environment of mangrove here will amaze you. It is situated close to the mouth of river Subarnarekha. You can rent boat from here to go to Subarna Island. This sanctuary is not crowded at all. Perfect for a weekend trip.

We visited this place in 2021 on our trip to digha. We took a toto from old digha and reached to the place where you will get boats to Bichitrapur. The toto took Rs.500 for 6hrs. We shared the boat with another group as the boat charges Rs. 1200 for 5people. The boat will drop you for an hour and you can roam around this lovely secluded beach and enjoy the mangrove forest around. The boat ride itself is a kind of experience. Please ask the time of high tide as we can reach that place only at that time. Carry biscuits and water as you will not get anything for those couple of hours.

A half an hour motor boat ride through the back water will take you to a delta - Suvarna island - the confluence of Subarnarekha river and Bay of Bengal. Enjoy the vast expanse of water, sand, mangroves, carbs , silence and serenity. A long stroll along the beach is really worth. But keep one think in mind, to get the best essence of this area, try to reach there as early as possible.

This place is under the jurisdiction of Odisha forest department. From Bichitrapur there is a motorboat service @ 200/- per person on a seat sharing basis. There are 6,8 and 12 seater boats in limited numbers and the service is available subject to high tide when enough water is available. The passengers are left to explore an island which has a sea facing shore and then taken back to Bichitrapur ferry point after around 1 hour. It's a wonderful glimpse of mangrove forests and also a forest with other trees in the island to explore. A very very enjoyable experience if you plan correctly.
