The most peaceful place as per my outlook. I love this place a lot that I always want to be there.

Really soothing , and the location where it is located is just awesome.

One of the favourite places on the earth , where I want to visit everyday.

Go without much expectations, be at peace. See and be with quiet Budha. Spent quality time in silence. Above is as per a tourist. If ardent fan of Buddhism, then a definite destination for you

Ancient scriptures from king Ashoka era in Pali scripture.
The place is surrounded by excellent green landscape. The river Daya, on the banks of which the great Kalinga war took place, runs besides shanti stupa.
After seeing the bloody river Daya and thousands of dead soldier who fought Kalinga War, one could see the transformation happening in the King Ashoka. He started following all the ways to the Buddha's thoughts. Every year there is Dhauli festival to mark the great day where peace reigned over violence.
The place has a very peaceful environment and has statues of Gautam Buddha Ji.
Do visit this place while traveling to Puri coast from Bhubaneswar.
Most disappointing thing is that there is nothing here that can assist you in understanding the history behind the scripture. You yourself have to google and understand the significance of the place.
Any way, there is no entry fee.

Calm and peaceful, the view is very nice. If going to the temple be careful of the pandas.

I really loved this place the reason was this place was dedicated to Lord Buddha and historical place as well as. The remarkable place of Kalinga war fought by the great Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. Best for tourist people.

Dhauli is a 30-40 minutes drive from the city centre. You can have a good view of the city and the greenery around it.

The place is renovated and is usually crowded now.
