Gorewada lake and dam

This is a nice place for blissful morning evening and walks with family. The lake is beautiful. There are many ducks in the water which are peaceful to sit and watch. My family enjoyed this place very much. Please check for the timings before you visit as the visit timings are restricted.

It's location is in the city but once you enter the lake area you will feel like you are long outside city.
It's very refreshing when you walk the distance from entrance and reach the top of place (10 min walk) where you see the full lake view.
Lot of people come for walking mostly during morning and evening time.
There's a Hanuman temple on the way to the lake, Also there's an old British time pump house inside.
The place is very calm and can be helpful for relaxing mind after a busy day. Near the lake side there's a walking trail of 750meter. People say migratory birds come here.
In case of heavy rains the lake remains close due water level being high.

Good place to visit during early morning hours. The dam gate is 1km from the parking area. We need to walk to the dam as the entrance is blocked.

Road leading to the parking area is a mud road.

You can see a lot of migratory birds in this lake. Morning visit to the lake is allowed from 6.30 to 10: will allow you to take a longer stroll around the trail. The spot has a tall Machaan for a better view.
Please take an effort to the keep the surroundings clean, don't litter and pick up some if you can.
