Kas Lake is a pleasing place for spending a weekend with a family and friends. One can cook, swim and do fishing here. Its about 30 kms away from Satara city.

Must visit place - you can breathe pure air, experience nature and you may spot Bison (If you are lucky).

Road to Kas lake is amazing and will take you to different world.

Flowers will be available during sep-Oct but another time of year is also recommended to visit this place.

Must visit place, awesme weather, cool breeze, not much deep but still don't take risk to go deep in the water.

Kaas lake is towards Kaas Flower valley. Around 2 km away from flower valley. One can take own vehicle as there is ample space for parking. There is no entry fee or parking fee. The lake is scenic. A good place to have nice pictures and if you get there on a cloudy day you may get chance to capture the flying clouds!! You may see and hear some birds too! There are few small cafes there for tea and snacks.

It’s a beautiful lake and a small mangrove kind of area covered with trees .
Not maintained at all though
the path is dug up , difficult to cross
No facilities available in the immediate vicinity
There are shops at around 500 mtrs though

A place for funeral pyre is just at the lake not sure whether in use for not

There are no toilets and seen tourists urinating in the jungle area .

No tickets required
parking available on weekdays, on weekends it might not be sufficient

Visit in daytime before 4 pm preferably as it gets dark post 6 and the road is accident prone & foggy .

Can skip this lake as Bamnoli is much better

Kaas Lake is nestled by the kaas plateau and doesn't need a ticket seperately to go there. It is a beautiful lake however there were no facilities apart from a restaurant (didn't go inside however it is right on the banks of the lake and maybe they have toilet facilities There) and some street food even toilets were not avaliable. To arrive here you drive past the Kaas plateau gates and follow the jungle road down the mountain with many blind turns where if you are in your own vehicle please honk to alert others. The road is paved but in bad condition. Overall worth visiting be warned that you may get better pictures from the hill slopes rather than the lake itself. If you want to go boating you need to drive another 6 km ahead to Bamnoli. The maps for kaas Lake leads you to the shmshan ghat dead end

Must visit place.... both the lake and the valley of flowers. Although I went in the off season when there were no flowers enjoyed the view. Took a dip in the khas lake and felt refreshed. Kudos to the government for maintaining khas plateau (valley of flowers) so well. Vasota fort is also nearby unfortunately couldnt visit as the entry timings are upto 1: 00 pm. For visiting the fort have to take boat from Bamnoli. Also you can visit shivmandir, waterfall and see triveni sangam (point where three rivers koyna, kandati and tapola meet). Suggest to visit these places along with a local guide or person belonging to the area. :-)

Soothing place to visit. The Back waters of the koyna Dam looks mesmerizing. Camping can also be done besides lake.
