Palace of Royal Family of Sawantwadi built in 1881. Hardly some sections of the Palace area are open for viewers along with the museum. Still the current descendents of Royal family stay here (that section of the Palace is not open for viewers). Heard one update from the staff there, that the family is planning to convert the Palace into a hotel now.

Beautiful palace, there is a nominal entry fee for entry in the palace. There is nothing much to see as most of the palace is closed off for people. The artworks are really beautiful and mesmerising also the main hall of the palace is beautifully decorated and still looks new. Apart from that, they also do manufacture "Ganifa" game cards which are still traditionally handpainted here, you can buy those and support the old tradition of our culture

I like the place it's 10 minutes visit here I saw one royal family live before and after British rule. The photo collection give me to recall how the royal family lived. The Darbar and the king chair as well as sword are good to see, overall good experience in short period. The Entering fee is 30 rupees for each person
