Beautiful place to spend time with family. Early morning or evening best time to visit. Nice drive as well to reach this place.

Nice place to visit but great time in monsoon. There is several best spot for picnic celebrations. Out of which , near to outlet of dam, clean water like river flowing, you can spent time to take bath in shallow depth but be careful in deep water because high flow current of water in which you cannot control yourself. Long roads with dense forest, great terrains, mesmerized view, long drives with friends, walk on forest, local village food and fruits sell buy villagers in cheap prices. Peaceful moment with friends and took necessary items to spend great time there from your home. There is Salkanpur temple near fromKkolar dam. If you have time then you can go there also. But we visited Kerwa dam from Kolar dam via alAbidabaad village. It is almost 1 hr long drive journey. You can get some of the video uploaded by me on Google map. I like desi oranges and red Guvavas. Also people selling raw mahua which is used to prepare alcohol Desi Darru. Yeah , of course you can have to barbeque there if you have all necessary items and Daal Baati mouth watering dishes. Family place for picnic but dengerous place for single couple because of isolated place. So couple be careful. Good luck guys.

Calm nd scenic environment but don't wait until dusk to move out from there bcz of deep forest nd beware to keep extra stepney & tyre inflator in case uh need it🤗

A scenic place to have a picnic with friends and family. Is at its full glory during monsoons. 1 hr from the city.

I visited here while returning from Salkanpur to sehore. Sight seen is very beautiful in evening. Lovely sunset and watching flow of water is different experience in itself. Want to visit in rainy season next time.

Good place to have a drive getaway and to hang out for a day....have some good resorts in surrounding if you want to stay else you can do it in a day from bhopal and nearby cities. If you have been to other dams , there is nothing different so if you are coming just to see the dam the drive is not worth it.
