TIGHRA DAM

The experience is amazing. Everyone who visits should try speed boating plus it's a good picnic point too. So you can take your food and enjoy or relax in the restaurant located there.

What a wonderful place, within 15km from the city. Enjoy fresh air, sunset or sunrise away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.
How to reach:- If you are outsider like me you can book an Auto rikshaw for around RS 400-600 (up-down)
Things to do:- there are various water rides, starting from speed boat to paddle boats, even there is a 8km long ride to a place called magarkund(crocodile habitat) but that ride is little expensive. They provide you proper life jackets.
There are some local fishermen they also offer you a boat ride at a very cheap rate but they don't have any life jacket.
Foods:- there is a nice restaurant, from snack to meal you will get everything (pure veg)

Beautiful place for outing with family and friends for those who love boating and nature. This place near to Gwalior City. 45 minutes drive from Gwalior Station. Mini cruise, boats, water biking etc. Must visit one time. Only one thing need to be improve that is cleaning and management.

So here we are! The most popular Dam of Gwalior i.e. Tighra. Frankly, there is nothing to be crazy about. It's too far away, roads are messy and after reaching, the experience is not as great as you would expect. I would recommend to visit only once and that too during opening of dam gates, otherwise it's just a waste of time and petrol.

It would be great place if there were cleanliness and proper maintenance. But overall it's a good place to spend time with family by surfing, boating. Here you'll see the natural beauty of mountains.

Boating have different options like if you want self drive then pedal boat is available, if you want for long drive then engine powered high speed boat is available with driver (you can't self drive this boat). small zoo having ducks is also here

Well in a natural and wide jungle area far away to Gwalior. Tigra dam is located 30-35 kilometres outside Gwalior.

The Dam area is open near Village .
Cool and Quite area with full of nature.

Must Have proper shoes , if you think go to water so keep rubber shoes or chapples

Keep Hat or cap and water bottles and some snacks .

If you want you can ride the speed boat or basic boats.

You will go in evening if you time then you will see proper sunset.
