Should visit this place during the rains. It’s mostly dry during the other seasons. Still the beauty and the calmness you get here is amazing.
The actual waterfall is closed for people because some accidents happened in past but still whatever you get to see is nice.

Raneh waterfalls is located in the Ken river. Waterfall is formed on a deep canyon made of pure crystalline granite of varying colours. Colors range from pink red to grey and black. The entire view of the region is stunning. Rocks are formed in various layers. These layers also have various colors. This palette formed of rock is wonderful. These canyons are said to be formed due to the volcanic activity. There are five types of rocks in this canyon with varying colours which make this area unique. The five rocks are green dolomite, black basalt, brown quartz, red jasper and pink coloured granite. These rock can be seen in the whole area .There are number of waterfalls which are smaller than the main waterfall in this canyon. All these waterfalls falling from various gorges makes the entire view of the valley beautiful. The variation in depth of the canyon is another unique feature of this waterfall. With this depth variations leads to the formation of some stunning geographical features made up of rock. This area is also described as Grand Canyon of India because of its similarity with the Grand Canyon of USA.
View points with proper fencing are made for safe viewing of the entire area.

This is a small waterfall formed by Ken river flow. The rocks in this place are amazing. This spot is sight of volcanic eruptions few millions years back. So you can see multi coloured rocks. Beauty of waterfall is better in monsoon.

Literally one of the best view one can have of proof of dormant volcanic eruption. May be the best time to visit this place be during monsoon. This is as per local suggestions as according to them numerous small waterfalls will form in the whole area due to rain. One thing I didn't like about the place was the money they compulsory charge as an extra for guide. Amount is small (Rs. 125 extra) but yes

One of the most beautiful and mysterious spots in entire India, is the Raneh Falls hidden away in the forests of Madhya Pradesh near Khajuraho. The Raneh Falls dubbed as the Grand Canyon of India boasts of an impressive kaleidoscope that isn't available anywhere else. One can find five igneous rocks the green colonize, black basalt, brown quartz, red jasper and the pink coloured granite.

The Raneh Fall is a natural waterfall on the Ken River, located in Khajuraho in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
The Ken River forms a 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) long, and 30 metres (98 ft) deep canyon made of pure crystalline granite in varying shades of colours ranging from pink and red to grey. There is a series of waterfalls in the canyon.

The Ken River forms canyon made of pure crystalline granite in varying shades of colours ranging from pink and red to grey.
One can see a unique formation of the canyon of the Ken river with deep gorges and visibly different colour stones of quartz, granite and igneous rocks. The MP tourism department has done a great job to construct couple of viewing platforms.

You can also visit Ken Ghadiyal Sanctuary with a guide
