Kallimali View Point

Kallimali View point is arguably the best scenic view point in the entire region.There is a rugged road which takes you to this place.It takes almost 5 kms from Rajakkad.
Lots of fresh air and beautiful view cherish all the time. A visitor can stop the vehicle on a hilltop, get down and take a look. The reservoir of Ponmudi Dam would come into view like a picture drawn by an artist.
Another attraction of the place is the beauty of sunset.The cherishing view of the sunset makes our body and mind fresh.But I recommend not to stay after sunset because the place is not suitable for night riders.
It is advised no to go downwards as it is very dangerous.And I Rate this place 4 out of 5 due to unavailability of cloakroom and Snacks shop. So Please dont forget to buy your food from Rajakkad. But Resorts are available to make your day and night more comfortable.

At the start it was very unclear due to the mist. But after sometime It got clear and we experienced the mesmerizing views. We all loved it. I used my DJI mini 2 to fly across the valley and click some amazing thrilling shots and videos.

You can get a wonderful view of the ponmudi dam reservoir from here. The locals were not aware of the place, since it's kind of an unexplored viewpoint. Just follow the google maps and you will reach it without any problem. The road is not good/ tarred properly. Also it's just a point where we can get this view, but yes the view is too good.

It has a majestic of views of the Ponmudi Reservoir, as well as the island nearby, and it surrounded by dense with forests. Apart from the view, you may also enjoy the pleasant breeze. Evening is the best time to visit for a beautiful Sunset.
