Elephant camp, Thekkady

A very famous and good place for the elephant ride at Thekkady Kumily. There are 10+ elephants in the camp in good condition with its trainers Mahout. All are female elephants trained from the age of 3 and living here till 20+. They have a good big garden to go for a ride on the elephant. Over the elephant they have a cushion bed with hand holders for safety rides. All elephant rides are with 2 of its trainers Mahout. The camp has a separate fun event that shows in the evening time like Magic shows, Kalarippayattu and Kathakali dance. 12D movie effects show and play games hall also available here. There's another chocolate factory outlet available in the parking lot.

My experience was really good.. The elephants there are very friendly and co-operative.. It will cost you 500/- for a ride and photo session and 1000/- that also includes a elephant bath.. Where you will be sitting on the elephant and they will throw water on you. Our ride was rani :)

Best place to visit here in Thekkady. Elephant ride cost 500 & elephant shower 🚿 cost 500 pp. Don't take magic show, it's worst & waste of 200. You just try martial arts show costing 200. It's paisa vasool. There is a 12D experience as well at the cost of 200pp. We liked it.

Not worth the place. Prices are overhyped. This is the only place available in Thekkady and all Taxi drivers will take you here. On a single compound Majic show, 12D show and a couple of other shows are there but again prices are high compared to others. Elephant bath is just a small pool made by the owner not in the lake. So be aware.

Nice place. We can get entertainment, fun and food at same place. We enjoyed elephant ride and 12D movie experience at this place within our time zone. If you spare more time you can enjoy magic show, cultural dance and much more. The place is well maintained and must visit

We had a good ride for 15-20 mins... My kid really enjoyed the elephant ride.... Must try when you visit Thekkady

Crowded on weekends, waiting time close to 1hr, you can get tickets for next day also.. plan accordingly..

The best place in Thekkady to visit. Go and get your tickets directly from the place. It is just 350/- printed rate is 500/- but you will get it @ 350/- Don't be afraid of the elephant ride. It is safe and easy. Nothing will happen. They are very friendly. A must visit and experience.

Very good place especially children will like it most. Good place to visit with family. Elephant ride, safari, elephant feeding is available. Price is also goof 500 per person for 10 to 15 minutes. Along with that other fun activities like magic show, fountain and lighting show, kathakali dance show, karalipattu fighting show etc. I recommend this place to visit and very much enjoyable.
