The lake looks at its best during springs and winters. It was completely frozen when i got there in january. You can walk and ice skate on this lake.

Very secluded lake in the middle of the mountains and one can enjoy boating with the glimpse of snow capped peaks surrounding the lake.
This near a monastery too! One can walk upto to monastery to get a beautiful view of the mountain range.

Nako lake is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nako. The lake is surrounded by willow and poplar trees.

Nako Lake is known for its beautiful atmosphere, clean air, and natural beauty that is ideal for photography. During the evening twilight hours, a very large number of birds flock to the lake. There is a rock here that is believed to have the footprint of Padmasambhava. The lake has boating facilities during the summer months and ice skating is practiced on the lake’s surface which gets frozen during the winter months.

The Sacred Nako lake is must visit place when you are in Nako. The lake is a small but very peaceful place.
You can do boating in this lake.
A fun fact is that we were chased by a bull while we were on our way to the lake and it was a very horrifying experience 😂

Nice little lake in 11800ft altitude. Feels good to take a walk in the morning around it, when you get good blue colour reflecting on the water. Some tourists and localites throwing waste and plastic near the lake making it dirty. Hope this lake attracts more maintenance and restrictions in future to make it more beautiful than it is already now. Walk to the lake through the village of Nako from main road feels nice with the charming villagers smiling at us while doing their chores.

One of the best places in the Spiti trip. The water looks completely green. The trek upwards to get a complete view of the lake and the village was worthwhile.
