We did this trek on 16 june really great experience... This was the first track of my life and i did this without any problem... We hired a local guide from kibber and then all arrangements did by him.

We reached Kanamo peak 20.07.2018 at 10 a.m. , about 6 hours to climbed up and 3 h down to base camp. Greate views from the peak.

It's an amazingly beautiful trek. The base camp is not too far from the village but be sure to carry enough water as there is no fresh water source once you leave the village, ther is a lake but locals do no recommend drinking water from it. Unless you have options to boil. The temperature really drops at night so be prepared. And the last 800 Metres is a a very steep climb. So take a small break and advance in small intervals. The view from the Sumit is worth the walk. It's a non technical peak but truly tests you out. Please do not litter while trekking and avoid disturbing the nature.

A challenging trek in terms of altitude. Vast dry landscape views right from the start after Kibber. The wind blows continuously all the way till the base camp.

The peak appears for the first time while crossing a small lake approaching the base camp and looks unbelievable to climb from the first look.

Bright blue skies and vast ranges of mountains always in the view. Not many sources of fresh water in the way. The real challenge and beauty begins at the second day when you approach the summit.

The air becomes super thin and snow covered peaks are right in front of you. The beauty in the serenity is beyond words and the villages of Spiti look microscopic as you approach the 5500m altitude level.

The last ascend of 500m is quite difficult and you need to focus on breathing most of the times. The top has a view of 360 degrees of the mountain ranges of Spiti and Ladakh. It would be like a dream world for first timers. It started to snow as we approached the peak (mid July).

Could not stay more than 10-15 mins at the top as the air was very thin. A different world all together at the top, hard to put in words.
