Beautiful valley n mountain range view. Not such a difficult hike in normal weather conditions. Atleast two routes to reach the peak- choose wisely. One is longer but safe steep to climb and descend.

Patalsu Peak is located on the Himalayas
at an altitude of about 14,800 feet, that is, four thousand five hundred meters high,
from where you can observe these beautiful scenes all around. I'm feeling very cold
After reaching 12,000 feet, the weather suddenly changed due to which we had to go back.

It's a short 3 day hike from solang. Day 2 of hike wast to moderate but can become difficult subject to weather. If it rains it becomes slipery. View is quite beautiful

I completed Patalsu Trek last week with 12 other trekkers from Mumbai (only one of us was from Bengaluru). This is an extremely beautiful but challenging trek. Our trek began from Burwa village on first day. We were guided by Bholabhai and his team who are also from Burwa village. First day we climbed around 1500 feet and camped in Solang valley. It took around 4+ hours. We also enjoyed the paragliding experience on the way at Solang valley. The second day was very tough as we climbed 2500 feet and it was steep. We camped at Shagadug, a beautiful but challenging site. The third day was the climb to summit. This was the toughest as we had to climb 4000 feet in a single day and come back. It took 7 hours for us to reach the summit, 4 hours to climb down!!! All 13 of us reached summit and came back safely. You need to carry extra water from your camp as there is no water source after Shagadug. I strongly recommend this trek to all trek lovers. This is a tough trek, will test your physical and mental strength. Please hire a local team, they take good care of the logistics, food and your overall safety.

Beautiful trekk! It’s total 10km of hike from Solang village

I’d strongly advise against considering this a beginner’s trekk especially in winter season!

Happy trekking!

This trek starts from Solang Valley.
Total distance: 7.5km one way.
Total elevation: 1800m +
Highest point Altitude: 4200m
Try this trek only if you have spent atleast 3 days at an altitude of 2500m. Going directly to this trek can be dangerous as the altitude plays a vital role. It may bit you hard.
Villagers will help you with initial route, after the forest area you'll enjoy the best views.
Take atleast 2l water with you along with protein bars. Keep having water and chocolate bites at regular intervals.

Manali to Solang drive. The trek starts from Solang village then up to Shaga dugh and a steep 4 hours climb to the peak. Rothang valley views are awesome from the top. Manali - Solang - Shaga Dugh - Patalsu peak. Gujjar shepherds stay for 5 months from May to September.
