This group, built in the typical 18th century architecture style of Junagadh during the Islamic rule, comprises the tombd and graves of the Babi Nawabs of Junagadh and their family members.
Important among th-ose buried here are the first Nawab Sher Khan Salabat Khan (A.D. 1748-58), the second Nawab Mahabat Khan I (A.D. 1758-75) and Rantanbai, Begum of Nawab Bahadur Khan I.
The Babis originally came from Afghanistan as vassals to the Mughals. They gained control of Junagadh in 1748 when Mughal power was in decline.
Need restoration of this place
I felt that this place once belonged to the Hindus and turned into a tomb of the Babis.... There are many evidences and symbols in the architecture that point to a Hindu place...
