Devalia park

The National park is spread of a large area and you get to see lot of animals, you get to experience the wildlife and enjoy the lavish green feel usually in the month of July to September, they have fixed timing for safari and they also have bus which is way cheaper then a safari.If you have budget constraints and want to visit this I recommend you to take bus.

I have visit this place after a 10 years. I can see dramatic change & development under the BJP govt. now it very quite and easy to book tickets online. So that we can get easy access. They also have a canteen and shopping facility over there & also they have made big watch tower so that you can get a top view of jungle.

Devalia park is a part of Gir national park. This park is open through out year and well known for the presence of Lions.
The charge is too high for 30 to 40 mins ride.

If you want to do a JEEP safari - book in advance. We tried about 4 days before and could not get any. Did the 30 min bud ride- saw several groups of deer, 1 pride of lions and and 5 leopards in an enclosure ( zoo like vibe) but did enjoy it all in all.

This is a part of the gir national park. This safari is not as long as the main gir safari but you can enjoy the landscape and different animals here without an issue. Here you have a cheaper option also as a bus safari. If you want to do Jeep Safari pls book in advance.

If you got the booking for Gir safari then obviously Devalia Park is not needed.
If you didn't get that booking then also try to get the booking next time but don't come to sasan just for this. It's not worth it. It's like a bigger zoo. Nothing else. A bus ride for 30 mins. The buses are also normal buses, you'll be fighting for window seats. Animals here are not completely free, it's just that their cages are bigger. You won't see them in their natural setup.

Sharing my experience as below.

Animals : We were fortunate enough to witness the Asiatic lions ,lioness, the man eater leopards are enclosed and provided with regular meals, the deer and reindeers, eagles , vultures , fox etc.

Area : It is spread across a wide area , and is a part of the great forest of Gujarat in Gir .

Location: Around 45kms from Somnath or similar from Veraval.

Parking: They have ample parking space to accommodate a large number of vehicles.

Premises: They have maintained the place really well. Especially, the grass mat lion and deer adds to its beauty.

Play area : The children's play area is really cool with a lot of rides.

Timings:
Morning: 8am to 11 am
Afternoon: 3pm to 6pm

Booking : the gypsy is supposed to be pre-booked , for offline booking , one can book the buses after reaching the venue.

Rates : Gypsy: 3600 for 6 adults , Rs 125 for extra child
Bus : Rs 190 for any individual aged 3years and above.
These rates are different for weekdays as well as weekends.

If don't have time to visit Gir Safari then you can go for Davalia Safari. It is enclosed Safari. Either you can go through mini bus or enclosed gypsy. You have to book tickets in advance. Place is close to Gir Main market. You will find Lion easily. Pal e is small and you can complete entiy trip in 45 minutes. Way to this palace you can enjoy local tribal foot also. You can by soviner from government soviner shop and price is reasonable.
