Sant Sarovar Dam

An awesome place to hangout with friends and family. Lovely scenery during the evening. The Dam gives you a real adventurous feeling, on the other hand the flowing water in the river takes your mind away in the most peaceful place.

Plan this on weekend. Go with your bathing suits, because you don't want to miss going into the water.

It is good place for picnic with family and friends. In past, have visited the place and I found it was a good clean healthy weather. You can refresh your mood surely. You can do a good photography special in the morning. You can find the earthy coloured wall and demolished Fort. You can do a Pre wedding photography at the place as budget saving option.

It is such an amazing place like water park, it is a dam on the sabarmati river. It is open for all so many people from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar are visit this place. In monsoon this place is closed for safety purpose other wise it is safe to go inside the water because it's not so deep and water is very neat and clean.

Place is awesome.

Mostly 2 gates are open and you can enjoy Sabarmati river flowing.

You have to park car bit far away because there is only dirt road that will take you to river bay.
Main road leading to it is closed and there is security person present all the time!!

Be prepared to walk for 10 minutes to reach there.

This is a popular location, so expect quite a few family and groups enjoying already.

You can spend 1 hour or more enjoying the view of taking a bathing adventure in flowing Sabarmati river. 😀.
Take a swimming costume or extra pair or cloths.

Kids will surely enjoy playing in water but it's strongly advised to keep an eye on them because nature can be cruel sometimes.

Great place to visit in monsoon season. Near by to Ahmedabad located in Gandhi nagar. If the gates of dam is open ..than you will surely find a good view of sabarmati river. You can also go to the stream as well and relax there. A good picnic spot for youngsters only but for families I don't think it is good to go.

Sant Sarovar Dam is situated on Sabarmati river near to Sarita Udyaan Garden.
The Dam has spectacular view and has beautiful surroundings.

You can watch from a safe distance as this is not a official hangout or picnic place as sometimes the flow of river is quite fast.
