There is a myth that rulling kings has stored Gold under the stone of this mountains. So English people tried to take out but nothing was there. There is a hole inside the corner where we used to drop coin to listen the falling sound of it. It was more attractive about 15 years ago now it looks simple and man made.

If you know the "Shankh Lipi" then you are the "King" 🤗
Story tells that there is a large storage of gold which is locked by a "Manta" written in "Shankh Lipi"... Bad is that Grammar book of that was in Nalanda University burnt by Bakhtiyar Khilji...shamefull

The Son Bhandar Caves (also known as the Swarn Bhandar Caves) are two man-made caves carved into the base of the Vaibhar Hills in Rajgir in the state of Bihar in India
The cave dates were built during rule of Maurya empire during 319 to 180 BCE.

It's an ancient cave complex. Some say it's from mahabharata times. Some carvings of Buddha in meditating posture are on the walls, bit similar to ajanta.
Not allowed to climb the place, only see from the ground.
The place is clean and well maintained.

Witness the outstanding historical architecture of Maurya empire. Not very crowded in weekdays, you can book a guide (some local people) for some money (50 - 100 rupees) to explain more about its history.

This historical place in Rajgir is located beside Nature Safari. This place is small and can be visited under an hour. There are local guide who will explain the historical significance of this place.

You are allowed to visit inside the cave without any tickets. There is a huge garden outside the cave. You can roam freely in and around the garden and the cave.

There is parking place available and a guard assist you in the same. Beware of the monkeys in the area. This place is popular and is crowded a lot on the weekends.

It is to be said that it has hidden treasure of ancient times golds and jewellary. It is mysterious and lots ofancient stories have been related to it. Several attemps including blowing up the completer structure in British Period went to vain and thus the tresaure is still traceless. Properly managed, neat and clean so one must visit this man made cave in mountains.

The history and story of this place is very interesting. Swarn is sona (gold) and it is believed that there is a treasure of gold and belongings on the other side of the door. The door will get opened once the code is decoded which is been written on the wall inside the cave. The code is written in a shankh lipi which is a very old lipi and which was never been taught.
Another myth says that there is no treasure inside and the swarn indicated surang/tunnel. So if you get the opportunity then decode the code and get so much gold :P
This place is located at a walking distance from chariot wheel marks and very next to the entry point of nature safari.
