A bit disorganized but everyone's trying their best to keep things going! The ferry travel upto Kamalabari ghat on Majuli went off smoothly. The ferries are generally equipped to carry vehicles also, but you need to book in advance, I assume, since only a limited number of vehicles can be carried on a ferry.

A very important ferry ghat in jorhat. Also happens to be a very important biodiversity area where hundreds of birds visit during winter. Situated right at the bank of Brahmaputra, nimati ghat also happens to be a very popular picnic spot. Bird-watchers should look for various warblers and ducks like indian and eastern spot-billed ducks, great adjutant storks, great myna etc.
Also, to reach majuli, you have to board ship from nimati ghat. There are ships to and from majuli at different times of the day.

One of the main picnic spot in Jorhat, which connects Majuli Island with ferry service. Enjoy the scenery of Brahmaputra river. Monsoon makes the area risky.

Just sit, close your eyes and enjoy the sound of flowing water and feel the wind coming along with the river.
Really wonderful experience,
Request please don't pollute the place in the process of visiting the wonderful picnic destination and let it be in same condition as I saw it last time
Early morning is great time to visit and you can also enjoy ferry ride and it's also the place to get transported to Majuli Island.
Beautiful place. Must visit
Tremendous tourism opportunity, can be developed on the lines of sea beaches, Govt. Of Assam- My request.

Visit this place after soo many years. The beauty of river Brahmaputra is always mesmerising. The cold wind of the river is soo refreshing. There is a new place named Tsangpo which is very beautiful and good place for clicking picture and day out. They charge only 20 Rs entry fees. I would love to visit there again.
