It is situated in Chanaka village, near Pobitara Wildlife Sanctuary, Mayong, Morigaon Dist. Mysterious "Mayong" is famous for black-magic. Approx. 35kms from Guwahati city. Beautiful hillside view of the mighty Brahmaputra river. "Kanai Shil" - the ancient twin rock welcomes you in the entrance. Basically from October to March (specially in winter session) it is a popular destination for picnic in the vast beach like shore of Brahmaputra. Also there are few Eco-camps. The condition of road from main Chandrapur road to the beach area, is very poor. However, the Chandrapur road, connecting from Narengi to Pobitora is in well condition. It is safe to return before evening if there is no plan to stay there.

Very serene, calm and tranquil environment amidst last green mountains and river Brahmaputra flowing alongside definitely makes it a best hangout place with family, friends, relatives etc. Located just around 20km from Guwahati city. The twin rocks are the symbolic note of this place. One can easily reach there by 4 or 2 wheelers but keep in mind that the road is narrow at some places and is very steep too. Chankaka eco camp is destination for who wants to stay the night out there and avail the features like mountain climbing, paragliding, ATV ride, fishing, camping, bonfire etc but you need to inform and book prior your arrival.
