The location mentioned has no office of up ecotourism there.. Its a fake place.. I got befooled by going there... Plz do trust the map n directions shown.. Its a government site... Aur bura haal hai as usual.. They sjould try n do something about it..

The tourism office is quite helpful and their app has a very easy interface for all types of bookings, be it accomodation, safari or boating. All in all a good experience.

We visited Katarniya ghat and stayed at the UP Eco tourism's stay at Katarniya ghat itself. The location is perfect, just besides the forest. The rooms (magar and ghadhiyal) are sadly - very disappointing, we paid around 5k for it but the infrastructure was bad, the washroom doors weren't getting bolted, the water in the taps were yellow for umm some reason. The room size was decent but definitely not worth the amount we paid. The only worthy mention is the 'FOOOOD' which was amazing, purely home made, great taste, fresh and the service was excellent too. People there were considerate and took care of our needs. Also, the charges in general were high even for the safari, we paid 4k for it. So need a check on that. Rest the visit was good, close to the nature loved it :)

A Very VERY BAD Experience of Sohagi Barwa Wildlife life sanctuary, even there is no offical contact no, neither the lucknow office no is functional and no one picks a call on this no on working days also. Its very heartening that my booking id of 4651, for which i paid rs 1770, is totatly waste as i didnt reach the spot just because the location which was there had no clear picture, IRONY is that google shows the way to cross the river which had no bridge, i reach Maharagganj, and in google map it was showing 5 min left to reach destination, when i reac there in front of me is River Flowing...No way to cross the river, no Direction to go to Safari, No contact detail on booking sheet. I cant expect THIS FROM THE GOVT OF UTTAR PRADESH, EVEN AFTER TAKING MONEY NO WAY TO REACH DESTINATION, SUCH A BIG FRAUD..KINDLY REPAY MY BOOKING AMOUNT
