Tiger Journey

We were vey fortunate to be paired with "Pappu"of Tiger Journeys, by India Footprints who booked our safaris in Kanha and Bandavgarh National Parks. As my husband is a conservation biologist he is always looking for more in-depth knowledge and a deeper experience on our many wildlife journeys. Pappu was able to fulfill this need, providing many stories and information about the biodiversity and conservation issues facing Bandavgarh and it's many species. From bird calls, to trees and of course the large mammals - his knowledge was vast - gained from more than 25 years of experience guiding in this magnificent wilderness.

We seemed to be low on luck, and hadn't seen any tigers by our last day of safaris...this genuinely concerned Pappu and his many government guide friends, who were desparate to show us the majesty of this great cat. His concern paid off, and after carefully planning our routes as best he could, we were rewarded with incredible sightings - including two adult tigers and one tigress with four cubs! We also had an incredible leopard sighting - which we were told does not often happen in Bandavgarh. We were fortunate to experience the variety of habitats and wildlife which this amazing park has to offer. If we are ever able to return we will definitely be booking our adventure with Tiger Journey!

The lodge (Nature Heritage) & food was also of 5 star standard!

Thanks to Vedant and his team for making it a memorable journey. I wanted a mix of national parks and cultural spots to visit. Vedant created an itinerary that matched exactly what I wanted. Hotel selection was great. Special thanks to Raju, the driver for being a very safe driver. It was the little things that impressed me. When I forgot my iphone charger in Khujraho and realised it after almost hour and a half drive, Raju immediately offered to drive me back to pick it up.
I had a wonderful time at Kanha but I didn't see a tiger. Vedant put his dad with me as a guide. He worked really hard to show me a tiger even though I told him that I am happy even if I do not spot the tiger and am really enjoying watching other Flaura and fauna. I really enjoyed how he knew almost everything about each plant and bird in the national park.
I loved the whole tour so much that I am already planning to book another onewith Vedant next year.

Vedant (Tiger Journey) has been an age old friend and is by far one of the most reliable, hassle-free operators I have worked with in Madhya Pradesh. His resourcefulness and humble, polite behavior make him an excellent service provider.

Early 2021 I asked him to help me arrange a guided excursion for my family & friends for a fortnight across the state. Starting with Bhopal, then Orchha, then Khajuraho, then Panna, then Bandhavgadh & finally Jabalpur; the arrangements were incredibly smooth. The vehicles he provided were in accordance with safety standards - a safety barrier between the driver & guests. Also the SUVs were clean, well-maintained & comfortable.

His personal touch at Bandhavgadh, including daily visits helped enhance the experience for the guests and as usual I'm delighted to have chosen him as the end-to-end service provider.

Thank you to Hukam for ensuring such an incredible experience for my husband, myself and 2 kids for our short road trip from Delhi to Jim Corbett National Park. He was very punctual with our pick up and his car was well maintained, comfortable and safe. Everything from preplanning till the very end was so well organized and smooth. Hukam was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable not only about the safaris but far beyond that. The property he recommended was spot on for what we wanted. Jim’s Jungle Retreat was perfect in every way with super warm staff to the lovely accommodation and absolutely delicious food.
Hukam was also great with the kids and they enjoyed being around him. He was always cheerful and eager to ensure we were comfortable and happy. This place has been fantastic for all my safari bookings across the country. They may be based out of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, but have their connects across most national parks in India.
