Kalindi Housing Taxi Stand

Good & peaceful place. Neat and clean place. Full of trees in surrounding which give you a peaceful mind state & give a feel close to nature. Good place for morning walk & evening walk. Market is also there near the taxi stand. Some good food stalls are also there. There is a market where you can got all necessary things of household. You can get e-rikshow there to go to railway station. Dum dum railway station is just 10 mins away from the taxi stand.

This is very close to my residence. Normally taxis are available here. There is a sitting arrangement here with an overhead shed and fan. There is a pay and use toilet arrangement very close to the taxi stand. A department store is also very close to the taxi stand.

Important as in because I myself took it as a major landmark when I went here for the first time and will always be in my memory because of a memorable moment.😊
Anyway,
Taxis are always available here with a negotiable price. Many shops, banks are situated within the area. It is easily connected and serves as a joint between the dum dum road and Jessore Road.
Located in just 5 mins from the bus stand.

Very low traffic on 9:54 And all this kalindi area road are under construction.

It’s more of a landmark rather than Taxi stand. Only traditional, local Ambassador Car taxi rests here and select passengers as per their own convenience rather than cooperating with passengers. The operator of the stand doesn’t allow OLA or Uber cabs to park here as they poach passengers and also donot help them at all if they ask for any address for pick up or drop customers of Kalindi.

All the taxi will refuse to go. They will never go by meter, always ask huge amounts. More than Uber fare.

Most of the time drivers demand to much fare. Atleast 50 rupees more than actual meter reading. All over Kolkata same type of problem is faced, either refusal or extra charge.
