Shared Taxis are best feature of Uttarakhand. Since government buses are limited in the state, the taxi service is really helpful in traveling from one town to another in economical way. We were group of 5 and these kind of taxi service really brought down our travel costs. Good part is that they have fairs clearly listed at all taxi stands and the list is even available in the taxi so no one can overcharge you.
