This is the Governer’s house of Lucknow. Located at the Hazratganj heart of Lucknow. This place is mainly for Governer Of UP. I got a chance to visit there and see by myself how this Governor’s House looks like. It is the one of the beautiful architectural building which i saw in Lucknow which is currently in use.

Raj bhavan is the official residence of The Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Raj bhavan shows you our heritage. The luxurious rooms and beautiful gardens. Citizens are only allowed to enter during the FLOWER FESTIVAL. The flower festival is really amazing and you can explore the whole Raj bhavan during the festival. The ENTRY FEE is ₹5 per person and the parking is free. FOOD STALLS ARE AVAILABLE INSIDE SO DONT BRING EATABLES. Different gardeners participating to showcase their skills. All the flowers and greenery is really mesmerizing 😍🥰. You can also vote the flower display you liked. It's a great festival to spend time with FAMILY.

Best place for tourism. If you are in Lucknow or you are going to Lucknow you should must visit to Rajbhavan. This is best place to go but if you are going to visit Rajbhavan try to go early because after 5 PM few places get closed and there is so many things to explore so try to go early

I love flowers, well anything nature related and this was such an amazing experience!
There were so many kinds and colours and sizes of flowers and plants! People are so talented, like hiw can they make a whole flower-pot hill around 6-7 ft. high!!
And all those shapes -kangaroo, camel, lotus, kalash, shivling, rabbit...they were all so creative.
The variety of vegetable plants and veggies put on show was also great.
Also, I loved the flower decoration entries submitted by people... artificial dog and tree made by flowers and eatables.
Since the whole show was spred all over the governor house, I took almost 3 hours to cover it. Keep in mind to have time at your hands before visiting.
There were flowering plants vegetables for sale as well as so many handmade products... it's a perfect spot to spend an afternoon in!

The two storied palatial building of Lucknow city was constructed in the eastern side of the city surrounded by greenery. Hayat Baksh means, life giving. The buildings constructed under influence of East India Company were different from traditional Indian style of architecture and these buildings were called Kothis. In Indian style of architecture, it was essential to have courtyard in the house, for which no provision has been made in Kothis. Kothis normally were two storied, with long straight plain wall without any design. The only place for artistic work were the doors and windows, decorated in the Gothic style.

Kothi Hayat Baksh is an airy palatial building with all four sides surrounded with high roofed varandas. Only Raj darbar inside the Kothi is made as per Indian art and sculpture, whereas remaining portion of the Bhavan is completely influenced by western style. The mehrab of Dewan khanas are decorated with flower strips and are painted beautifully with golden colour.

In 1873 under the direction of Sir George Cooper beautiful lawns, fountains and also beautiful sitting rooms were attached

In 1907, one portion of this Kothi was demolished and a ballroom was also added. The ballroom is now a dining hall.
