Tetultala Cricket Ground

The owner of the ground is Midnapore Central Correctional Home formerly known as jail. The local young people use to play various games in the vast land. To stop illegal encroachments the authority trying to cover the area with wire fencing. Apart from the offices and residential of the jail the area is very lonely. Some unplanned poles of electricity installed here and there make the place very uncomfortable.

It is a simply playground. No other facilities is not available .

It's a nice place for relaxation. It's a huge... and I mean HUGE place to be exact, although it is not an one large ground to be exact. It's actually many small and medium grounds accumulated. In the british rule there was a place in here now unknow where prisoners were used to executed. It is still fascinating to try to locate the executing area and also to see the town jail.

Combination of some small and large ground makes it a huge ground altogether.
Far from town's chaotic environment.
It's a historical place too.
In nearby there is Medinipur central jail where many of our patriotic hero had been imprisoned for years and it is being said that they used to executed them at this place.
So visit once.
P.S.- please visit during daylight if you are with your family coz after evening this place is quite not safe at all.

This is one of the oldest cricket ground in town, cricket and football match playing regularly, other sports are played various times in year ,the ground very big ground full of fresh air jogging are there, all types of sports events are organised there,it is still fascinating to try locate the executing area and also to see the town jail.

No place to play. Only kakimas and thakumas give adda here
