Mahatma Gandhi Stadium

The stadium was established in 1972 which managed and owned by Sports Authority of India. As condition of stadium was not very good and there was no renovation was done since it was built. But in 2013, Government of Tamil Nadu decided to renovate the stadium by sanctioned Rs. 1 crore off which Rs. 60 lakhs will be used for 400 m athletic track, a football ground, grass lawns, and a walker's path and Volleyball, basketball courts and infrastructure including toilet facilities will be improved.

I have been running and playing from small age ,thanks for our government to help us to produce sports person and many people where , happy to use the ground

The stadium requires more facilities, stray dogs are roaming freely inside the stadium. Athletes and other players are at risk of being bitten by these dogs. Corporation officials should ensure the safety of sports persons training in the stadium.

Best place for jogging, moderate crowd safe place for both men and women for exercise and good air quality here , I ve been jogging here for 1 week ,so refreshing also when looking other sports people gives me an excitement to workout

This is one of the best Stadiums for walking and playing !! Recommended for everyone!! From my childhood I would have played cricket in the same stadium !! Best ever

Nice place for sports activity and walkers. Place has facilities for atheletics, volley ball, tennis, shuttle, basket ball, cricket, bow and arrow, has swimming facility very next to stadium. Got toilet facilities here as well

Stadium is not good for athletics . track is completely worst . They haven't follow any sports discipline. I feel like its a park.

A greater ground for good jogging and a nice play of outdoor games as well.. there is basket ball court, Tennis court, gymnastics place, boxing place, sports hostel, group of people train atheletics as well..
