Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium - Trivandrum

It’s a tiny nice sports complex in the middle of the city. There’s a synthetic track that’s used for conducting races etc and people use it in mornings and evenings for exercise. It’s adjacent to Palayam church, mosque and the niyamasabha complex. There’s a gym working on the premises, which is managed by kerala police, and is actually open to public. It’s probably the most economic place to get a work out if you are really looking forward to it. It’s not a fancy place and the people there might look unfriendly in the beginning, but it’s a real nice place.

A monthly fee is there for entrance state sports meets are held here, a good synthetic track, nearby sports shop, gym and such amenities are available

Spacious galley, suitable for all types of sports

Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium is a prominent football stadium situated in Palayam,Trivandrum district.The stadium, also known as 'Police Stadium' and the stadium was constructed in honor of the first Inspector-general of police of Kerala Shri.N.Chandrasekharan Nair in 1956.The stadium was renovated its existing football ground including clearing and re arranging drains, rearranging the playing arena to accommodate new 6 lane synthetic track, dismantling and renovating the spectator steps as per necessity, turfing, new chain link fencing to the track, provision of structure for score board etc.

ALBATROSS - Swimming pool

Well established and maintained swimming pool in the heart of the city, Chandrashekar Nair Stadium. 150₹ per head for adults. Dress changing rooms and Bathrooms were maintained well. Bought swimming suit from the shop inside stadium with a reasonable rate.

Well water is sticky though and both ends of the pool is shallow unlike other pools.

So far nice experience.

Primary place for people in Trivandrum to come for games,sports, gym, food, and to spend time away from the crowd of the city.
