Nehru Stadium Kottayam

Located at the heart of Kottayam, the place is a ‘living’ symbol of apathy by the authorities. One great and unique feature about this stadium is that it turns into a swimming pool in just one rain, there are no drainage facilities. I wish any one of the district authorities show some respect to the position they hold and renovate the stadium.

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kottayam, Kerala. The ground is mostly used for athletics and football. It is one of the Indian stadiums named after Jawaharlal Nehru.
The ground has capacity of 18,000 person.

Not maintained well. Good place to take a walk.
Have a good football ground at the center. Limited lighting at night.

Once upon a time this place was a great place for holding athletic meets and evenig conversations for old timers. Now the ground is unkempt, overgrown with grass and needs urgent clearing up. The galleries are also broken with the iron showing through. Needs a thorough revamping.

Place is not well maintained... Infact they are just wasting the staduim and resources without proper maintainance and carelessness.... Feeling ashamed about the Kottayam District Cricket association

The only ground to my knowledge for joggers and runners in Kottayam central.It’s Open to general public till 10pm.

*But not suitable when it rains as it resembles like a pond and slippery too.You have to walk through the step.

*Grass are grown like forest and lot of stagnant unclean water logged.Authorities must clean it.

*Good lightings arranged.
